The Espai Carmen Thyssen opened its doors in 2012 with “Landscapes of light, landscapes of dreams”exhibition. From then on, the following exhibitions have been scheduled: “Sisley-Kandinsky-Hopper” (2013), “The ideal in the landscape. Among Meifrén, Matisse and Goncharova”(2014), “Barcelona-Paris-New York. From Urgell to O’Keeffe” (2015) and “The Illusion of the Far West (2016)
After the success of “The Illusion of the Far West”, curated by Miguel Ángel Blanco, the Espai Carmen Thyssen in Sant Feliu de Guíxols is already working in the next exhibition that will take place in summer 2017.
“The Illusion of the Far West” has been well received, not only by the visitors, but also by the people who attended the parallel activities such as guided tours, the explorer’s notebook, films at the Truffaut Cinema in Girona and Porta Ferrada concerts. This entire programme let everyone enjoy and be captivated by the Far West. We must point out the success of the training days, aimed at teachers, and the morning visits at the Thyssen, both activities carried out with the ICE-University of Girona.
From Sant Feliu de Guíxols to Málaga, the exhibition will be on display at the Museo Carmen Thyssen-Málaga from 19th November to 19th March.
